08 Aug d’Doubles launches new eMarketplace and showroom
Furniture shopping just became easier – and much more exciting – with the launch of the new eMarketplace by d’Doubles. To celebrate the launch of the eMarketplace, d’Doubles threw a party to introduce customers to the eMarketplace, which features the bidding system as well as officially reveal d’Doubles’ new showroom at Tai Seng Avenue to guests.
The bidding system could possibly help to make the unique, high quality furniture more affordable. This is because you pay less – the more you buy. So customers can pool in their friends and enter a price that is lower than the original price of the products. Guests had a taste of this exciting bidding system when they were asked to guess the price of Grand Prize, a lounge chair, named “My Place” by LaCividina. A buzz was certainly in the air as guests tried to make smart guesses on how much the chair would cost.
The contest certainly drummed up excitement for the launch of the eMarketplace. As director of d’Doubles, Mr Andrew Tan gave a short speech to introduce the eMarketplace to the event attendees. During the exciting confetti-filled announcement, he also announced a grand opening sale of up to 30 per cent, which certainly got the buzz going around the room.
Ms Iolanda Meehan, managing partner at Veldhoen + Company SEA, said: “It is great that I am able to shop from my home and the bidding system makes the experience more lively and interactive. It’s great that such beautiful furniture is available at the click of a mouse”.
The showroom also exquisitely displayed furniture from brands sold at d’Doubles including the red Osaka sofa by LaCividina, which many guests posed with. Other guests were also seen mingling comfortably at a corner made cosier by the well-designed Pinch – by LaCividina. Other brands were also on display that received rave reviews. These included chairs by Crassevig as well as Sitia. Lighting fixtures that beautifully adorned the showroom were also very popular with guests who took many photos of these fixtures. Popular lights included standout pieces from Mazzega 1946.
